We were used to my uncle "Subbarao babayya" informing us about the colorful Annual event that D.R. Goenka Women's Degree College, Tadepalligudem, W. Godavary District, AP India conducts honoring the talented students for their scholastic endeavors.
We were concerned when we did not get any news of the 2013 celebrations and contacted the Industrialist Sri Sushil Goenka.
We are glad that the College Principal Smt. J.V. J. Kumari sent us by registered airmail post a comprehensive sixteen (16) page list, with pictures of the 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 academic year recipients who were 'honored' at the "INAUGURAL DAY & Teacher's DAY' function on Sept. 5, 2014.
Indira took pains to scan the list of the recipients and pictures and posted them in the following pages of this web site -- www.krrao.net.
Our hearty congratulations to each of the individual recipients who were personally congratulated by my uncle "Sri K. V. S. Sharma". We appreciate Sri Sunkavalli Rama Krishna, Secretary & Correspondent to have graced the function in which the scholastic efforts of the recipients were recognized. Indira and I are mailing a copy of this memo to Principal D.R. Goenka Women's College since we do not have her email address. We are also emailing my Uncle Sri K. V. S. Sharma and Sri. Sushil Goenka, both of whom had decades of association with this 'august' college rendering much needed women's education in the interiors of AP.
List of the Students recognized and honored for their Scholastic Achievements during 2012-2013 and 2013-2104 academic years by the College faculty is posted in the following web pages. Pictures of the students receiving the awards are also posted at this web site.
A copy of this memo is emailed to the families in whose names the Annual awards were endowed. Indira and I are personally gratified by the presence of my uncle Sri. K. V. S. Sharma Garu at the Annual Function.
