In July 2018 soon July 6th, Santa Barbara experienced the holiday fire during which Ishu's house was totally destroyed. The family escaped narrowly in a matter of ten minutes along with their pets. By day break the entire house was ashes and they lost every thing and had to build up from scratch. With the help of family and friends they recovered from the loss and later moved into their own home. We visited them in October and was happy to see all of them in good spirits.
