Uma and Sunder were busy with their children's school activities. Both Rekha and Neil became State tennis champions from their school. Rekha was selected by the State department to their Junior Ambassador progrom that included a group of 30 students across the US. She went to Indore , India to learn Hindi language and culture, stayed in a host family for seven weeks which she enjoyed. Neil was selected to represent his school for mock United Nations club at Budapest for ten days. In summer Neil was selected by the Department of Interior to learn Chinese language at Ole Miss, Oxford, MS. Neil went to Chengdu, China in 2019 summer for seven weeks to learn Chinese language and culture.
