On November 12th , 2011 Deavaki and Sekhar came to Jackson for a three day visit. They came two days after they landed in this country at Jacksonville, Fl. without clearing their jet lag. Though short, they enjoyed visiting with us. We visited the new Hindu temple, Mahatma Gandhi statue at Milsaps College. and had a ride around downtown area. One day we went on Natchez Trace to see Grand Gulf Nuclear Station where KR worked, and Grand Gulf Military Park. We stopped for a picnic lunch on the banks of Mississippi River. We spent a good part of the day touring the famous National Military Park at Vicksburg. Sekhar being a History major enjoyed visiting the monuments. One afternoon we had forty friends for lunch at home to meet and greet Devaki and Sekhar. Here are some pictures we have as memories.
