REYJKAVIK September 15 to 17, 2008. A visit to see Iceland was very nice. The flight reached at midnight and the air port was 45 milles to the city REYJKAVIK. The weather was warmer than Copenhagen that day. First day we walked around the downtown, City hall, Marina and the surroundings. A nice and quiet city indeed. We visited the National Historic museum that depicted the settlements in this area. Next day we took a tour arounfd the city, visited water falls, Garden of Eden, Geysers and the visitors' center. By the time it was 2 PM ithe weather turned out to be blustery and cold. Our guide informed us that the Hurricane IKE was heading our way from USA. We visited the Geysers area which keeps active round the year. There were several of them (hot water springs temp. 140 degrees F.) in a row but few of them erupt into the air every ten minutes and shoot into the sky up to 200 feet in height.
